landscapes capture the dazzle of light as no other painter can. In working the Canadian landscape we have found that it really has nothing to do with how far north one goes, rather with being able to see n feel ‘the wild’ of the place one is in at any given moment.
Where it's been: the idea of being able to walk up / walk into to pure light situation just ahead of you is one that remains fresh each time you gaze on it. watercolour / acrylic on gessoed panel, the work has a directness to it, and the edges are painted eliminating need for any frame.
